Doug Shaw

Doug was born outside Chicago, Illinois. Around the age of 13, Doug and his family moved to Winter Park, Florida, where he spent the remainder of his youth. After graduation, Doug attended Florida State University, where Doug met his wife, Janet.

Doug and Janet moved to Bedford, Ohio in 1980 where they acquired the Thomas Strok Insurance Agency. Together they have two children, Austin and Evan.

Doug has been working in insurance for over 40-years. Through his leadership of business acquisitions, Thomas Strok Insurance Agency became Shaw Insurance Agency in 2005. Doug is the current President of our agency and continues to lead our group into the next phase of growth.

Outside the office Doug enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren, traveling, exercise, reading and a special hobby of wine-making.
